Hi, I'm Cate!

I’m a visual designer with robust experience working with clients in agency settings. I have a breadth of design knowledge between digital and print applications. In my free time, I love to channel my creativity through painting and crocheting.

2017-2020

I graduated in 2020 from Emerson College with a major in publishing and a minor in marketing communications. I worked on several print publications, including the concept and design of my own magazine.

From May 2021-January 2022, I completed Google's UX Design Certificate and learned the foundations of UX Design, the UX design process, prototyping tools (Figma and Adobe XD), and more.

As a UX Designer at Studio Simpatico, I conducted research to understand client and user needs; created user journeys, sitemaps, wireframes using Balsamiq, and product requirement documents; collaborated cross-functionally with developers; assisted the visual design team; and faciliated marketing efforts and initiatives, resulting in a strengthened digital presence for the studio.

From June-September 2023, I completed Emory University’s Graphic Design & Visual Communications Certificate. I learned the fundamental principles of graphic design and gained proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.
